BETHESDA, Maryland (November 23, 2009) – The Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance (“The Alliance”), the go-to resource for family businesses located in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia, announced today that a new member has joined the Alliance. Michael N. Mercurio, Esquire is a Principal and Chairman of the Business and Real Estate Practice Group with the law firm of Offit Kurman, P.A, where he works in the areas of corporate and business law, commercial transactions and real estate.
Mercurio was selected as a Legal Elite by SmartCEO Magazine in 2009 and is a member of the Family Firm Institute. He regularly counsels entrepreneurial individuals involved in family business ventures and has assisted many business owners with developing plans for the succession and transition of their business. He also is a frequent speaker and published writer on the myriad of challenges faced by companies and their owners throughout the lifecycle of a business.
