Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance Welcomes Two New Members PDF
BETHESDA, Maryland (January 29, 2010) – The Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance (“The Alliance”), the go to resource for family businesses located in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia, announced today that two new members have joined the alliance.  The new members, David Gage, Ph.D., and Edward J. Kopf, Ph.D., are both co-founders and Principals of BMC Associates, LLC (“BMC”), located in Arlington, Virginia.  BMC helps business partners and owners of family and non-family businesses deal with conflict and build collaboration.
 
Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance to Hold Peer-to-Peer Roundtable Discussion PDF
BETHESDA, Maryland (December 14, 2009) – Greater Washington D.C. Family Business Alliance (“The Alliance”), announced its first event in 2010: a Peer-to-Peer Roundtable discussion on the topic of family businesses preparing for succession during turbulent economic times.  Family business leaders who are considering, or have already begun the process of, transitioning to the next generation within the next ten years are strongly encouraged to attend this event.  The program will be held at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda on January 26, 2010, with registration beginning at 7:15 am; the program will run from 7:30 to 9:00 am.  Margaret E. Wilson, MSOD and Principal of Tandem Partners, a business strategy company specializing in family businesses, will moderate the discussion.  There is no fee for participation and registration will be limited to 25 business leaders. Service providers will are not invited to attend this event.

Two Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance Members Join Mid-Atlantic Chapter of FFI PDF

BETHESDA, Maryland (October 2, 2009) – The Greater Washington DC Family Business Alliance (“The Alliance”), the go to resource for family businesses located in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia, announced today that Jacqueline M. Thompson, CPA, and Geoffrey D.
